Faith-Filled Journaling Starts Here

About The Products

The Journal Through series began during a time when I felt completely lost in the wilderness; thirsty for God’s Word, but craving something deeper than the usual daily devotionals. I wanted to sit with Scripture in small chunks, meditate on each verse, and really engage with what God was saying. That’s how the idea was born: to pair short passages of biblical text with reflective, thought-provoking journal prompts. My hope is that each book in the series helps you engage more personally and deeply with God’s Word.

The first book I wrote was Ruth—a story I believe every Christian woman should read. It challenges us to think about who we listen to, to examine our own humility, and to trust God’s greater plan. After Ruth came Esther, then Jonah, followed by Lamentations. I took a quick detour to write the ever-popular Proverbs 31, and then moved on to A Time for Everything, a journey through Ecclesiastes.

Right now, I’m working on the next book in the series, which will explore a select few Psalms that share a common theme close to my heart.

If there’s a book of the Bible whether Old Testament or New, that you think I should cover next, I’d love to hear from you. Just use the Contact Us form at the bottom of the page.

About Me

Hi, I’m Natalie Warnock the creator behind Journal Through.

My faith in Christ is the centre of everything I do. I believe that the Bible is the living Word of God. It is inspired, trustworthy, and sufficient to teach, correct, and equip us for every good work (2 Timothy 3:16–17). My desire is to help others not just read the Word, but to truly dwell in it. To dig deep and meet God personally through prayerful reflection and journaling.

I grew up knowing about God, and I have always been blessed with a strong faith, but that hasn’t meant my path has been easy. I have faced a lot of trials in my short time here so far, but I have never faced them alone. God and his word are the solid rock which I have stood on in the midst of each of these storms. However, like many others, trying to find the time to really study God’s word has been hard. I have countless devotional books on my shelf that offer short, and often trite reflections on passages of scripture that often just tell me what to think about a passage, rather than get me to actually think about it. I’ve found it frustrating and empty; I have always wanted more from God’s word.

Over the years, journaling has become a powerful way for me to be able to dig in more with the Word and wrestle with truth, express gratitude, and anchor my heart in Scripture when life feels uncertain. What began as a private spiritual practice eventually grew into Journal Through, a way to share that same experience with others.

At the heart of everything I create is a simple belief: that spending time in God’s Word transforms lives.

I don’t see Journal Through as a business, it’s a ministry. My prayer is that each book draws you closer to God, helps you listen to His voice in Scripture, and encourages a life rooted in His truth.

Whether you’re journaling through a familiar passage or exploring a new book of the Bible, I hope you find these tools lead you to a deeper love for the Lord and His Word.

Thank you for being here. It’s a joy to share this journey of faith with you.

With grace and gratitude,
Natalie Warnock

Faith Statement

If you are anything like me, you like to know what type of theology an author ascribes to before you purchase a book from them. I would say that my theology is reformed, though I grew up in a Church of Christ (in Australia). If you are unfamiliar with reformed theology it is based on the five solas: sola Scriptura (Scripture alone), sola fide (faith alone), sola gratia (grace alone), solus Christus (Christ alone), and soli Deo gloria (God’s glory alone).

Overall, I believe:

  • Jesus Christ is the Son of God, our Saviour and Redeemer.
  • Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.
  • The Holy Spirit dwells in every believer, guiding and sanctifying us.
  • God’s Word is alive, relevant, and completely trustworthy.
  • Our purpose is to love God wholeheartedly and to love others as He has loved us.

These convictions shape the tone, content, and prayer behind every journal I design. My goal isn’t to add noise to the Christian world — it’s to create quiet spaces where believers can meet God personally through His Word.

Qualifications

I have a deep love for learning and teaching, as well as for the Lord, so my first tertiary qualification was a Certificate IV in Ministry and Theology – specialising in youth ministry, this led to a very short but very meaningful time as a school chaplain. After that I followed my passion for writing and completed a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Creative Writing, which I immediately followed with a Graduate Diploma in Education, majoring in Secondary English and Drama. A few years into teacher (which I love), I completed my Bachelor of Arts -Honours in Creative Writing (while I was still teaching!). Most recently I have completed my Master of Education, specialising in Literacy.

Over the years in various churches, I have been in several roles. Firstly, as a teenager, my sister and I ran our churches youth group, I also went on to be a junior leader at several camp and events that saw our youth group combine with others, I also was given the privilege to bring the communion message on occasion. I retuned to the church I grew up in one year after leaving to complete and internship as a youth pastor as part of my Certificate IV.  Over the next few years, I attended several different churches and was a youth leader at some, and on the roster for communion leader at most. When I arrived in my current town (which has been home for almost 8 years now) I stepped up in my serving. I started to preach on Sundays (something I no longer do after a lot of reflection on the role of women in the church), I also served on the board as secretary and then treasurer. Currently I am a co-organiser of our women’s ministry.
